I NEED a weekday job

Hello and welcome again to my blog. I would like to thank all the people for reading and giving feedback on my previous blogs. I hope you guys are having a wonderful week and a wonderful weekend. I’m just trying to make the most of this Saturday. So here is your dose of daily news, car news, new and improved technology, new movies, and my own personal life.

Daily News

 In news today… We always think of Hawaii as a place of paradise and vacation. Well its no vacation for the residents of Hawaii. Since the prices of fuel are sky-rocketing so are the prices of everyday groceries in Hawaii. In Hawaii a gallon of milk will cost you about $6.50, a half-gallon of orange juice $7.19 and it cost about the same for a pack of cheese slices, $7.65 for a box of cereal, and if you are in the mood for a PB&J (peanut-butter and jelly) sandwich be ready to pay $8.25 and that’s just the peanut butter. No telling how much the jelly and the bread cost. Prices of vegetables and fruits have gone up also a pound of tomatoes cost about $6.50, and lettuce is about $2 per pound. Local residents have adapted to economic crisis by only buying fruits and vegetable that are currently in season as in that particular fruit or vegetable is currently being grown. Some are taking a different approach by growing their own fruits and vegetables. I personally would buy my own land and start growing my own crops. It might be a little expensive at first but it will probably be better in the long run.

In other news… Venus Williams, a very  famous tennis player, hit an amazing 127 mph serve in her fourth round in Wimbledon. It is the fastest recorded serve by a woman in Wimbledon. One hundred and twenty-seven miles per hour most cars that you see in America would not be able to go that fast. Keeping that in mind imagine how hard it must have been to hit a ball hard enough for it to overcome all that wind resistance and travel at speeds like that. I would be happy if I hit a ball and make it go half as fast.

CAR News

In car news… The Corvette ZR1 comes out on top at the unforgiving Nurburgring by laping it in a amazing 7:26 which is faster then the Nissan GT-R which lapedit in 7:29 giving Nissan a challenge. The Corvettehad nothing added to it. It was a stock Corvetteonly with extra safety features other then that it is the same thing that will be sold in the market. How ever the price is set at $413,000 (ouch) < that was the sound of your wallet dying from the purchase of fast but way over priced car. I would personally just get the Nissan GT-R priced only at around $70,000 and set to come out in 2009. I really would not care if it is only a bit slower then the Corvette. I mean seriously how many of us expect to be in a Nurburgring like place or driving scene. But don’t get me wrong I would not mind having any one of these cars they are both sleek and sexy, but at a price like that while we are having a economic crisis it would just be plain dumb to purchase one.

In other Car News… Don Whales, grandson of land speed legend, is trying to break steam-powered land speed record. The official steam-powered land speed record was set at 128 mph, the unofficial record was set at 145 mph, but Don Whales hopes of achieving speeds of over 150 mph. While the steam- powered car is no eye-candy it is still amazing to get something to move that fast with just water-vapor.

New and Improved Technology

Laptops certainly are not old news yet, but the new HP Touch Smart PC sure will be the new thing around the block. With a 22 inch Hi-Def touch screen this computer really is technology at your fingertips. Basically you tap the screen if you want to open a file or a document, double tap an icon to launch the program and they also have a homepage designed to fit your needs. It allows you to have the program you use often at an easy to access panel and another panel for your other files and documents. The price considering the technology is very reasonable. I’m actually kind of considering getting a Touch Smart.

New Movies

I recently watched “Wanted” it was a very good movie. I really would recommend this movie to thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies. As for the other new Disney movie “Wall-E”. I haven’t gotten the chance to watch yet, but i have heard it is worth watching and possibly the best of Disney movies yet. As for upcoming movies Hancock is on my list for sure. And the Batman Sequel “The Dark Knight” is obviously number 1 on that list. Also “Death Race” seems like a very promising movie set to open in theaters in August. And I also recently saw the trailers for “Pineapple Express” and “Disaster Movie” both movies look very very funny. Maybe not as funny as “Step Brothers” starring Will Ferrell. ” Hellboy 2: The Golden Army” set to open on July 11 also seems like a very good movie. Also if have seen the trailer for “Tropic Thunder” you can already tell that it will be very funny. And i know its way to early and I’m over-excited about it but “TRANSFORMERS 2: Revenge of the Fallen is announced to be released on June 26 of the year 2009.

Personal Life

As for me I’m still looking for a weekday job that pays good. Other then that I’m trying to make the most of my summer before it’s back to school time. Also one of my best friend’s birthday is coming up and we plan to celebrate with a big party. I hope everyone else is having a good summer. Mines has been very fun so far.

Fun Summer

Hi again everyone hope you’ll are having a fun summer because my summer has been fun so far. I would like to thank all the people that checked out my first blog and left comments and feedback.  I know  this blog is supposed to be a daily thing but come on no one has that much time. So i will usually have a new post like every week or so. So here is your dose of daily news, car news, new and improved technology, new movies, and my personal life.

Daily News

In news today we hear L.A. using their toilet water recycling it and using it as drinking water and tap water. Now considering the water shortage that L.A. has had for a long time, I think this might be a good solution to their problems. Personally i would start buying bottled water because there is no telling what kinds of diseases or pharmaceutical problems these people have. But they think its OK because the water is filtered through many filter before coming out of a faucet in a residence. When the residents of L.A. were asked what were their thoughts on this concept they answered by saying that it is very disgusting and unpleasant. I would have said the same along with a ” what the f*** is wrong with you guys”.

In other news Iowa was flooded by the cedar river forcing almost 25,000 people to evacuate their homes. Residents says it reminds them of the year 1993 when Iowa flooded and say it is very similar to the current flood. It is estimated that it will take 4 days before they can even get worker in the Iowa to begin pumping the water out. City officials have encouraged people to use water only for drinking purposes. And to keep water usage to a bare minimum because water shortage has already stricken Iowa. Our hope and support is with them and lets hope they are able to get everything under control.

CARS

In car news… We have all  heard of Chevy’s new Camaro set to come out in 2010 well now pictures have leaked of the convertible camaro making it even better for the fans of Camaro. I would personally ( if i had the money) would get the hard top because the lines on the hardtop are much better looking and the convertible kind of makes look like its chick car but we all know the Camaro is an all out guys car.

In other car news… the LANCIA Stratos makes a brave comeback we have all seen the original lancia stratos very sporty and sleek but this is one way more than anyone could expect from lancia. I personally thought the original Lanicia Stratos was way ahead of its time  coming out in the early 1970s with only about 500 produced. But this one will definitely set off the car market . It is set come out in 2011… long time from I know but beauty takes time.

New and Improved Technology

The Iphone 2 is whats on everyone’s mind right now about technology. It said to be a 3G phone with GPS, a faster Internet connection, and obviously the luxury of an ipod in your phone. Everyone was also thinking that it would come with a very big price tag also. But the new iphonecomes with small price of 199 dollars for the 8 GB and 16 GB for 299 dollars. Yes it is very cheap that’s why almost everyone I know is going to get one.

New Movies

I recently saw  “You don’t mess with the Zohan” it literally is side spilting possibly the funniest Adam Sandler movie. And i also just saw the THE INCREDIBLE HULK (yes i had to put in caps) it was very intense and action filled. Some people said there wasn’t any action but it was action packed I recommend you go see that. Critics gave it a B rating but if I was to judge it would give it an A++( but that might be because I’m a very big hulk fan). Also be on the lookout for upcoming movies such as Hancock ( will be funny and a really good serious moive  at the same time). Definitely look out for batman 2:  THE DARK KNIGHT (will be amazing and exhilarating for sure). Also another great movie coming up is Wanted sure to you on the edge of your seat.

Personal life

My life is going pretty good right now. Im trying to make the most of summer this year. My friends birthday was yesterday so we celebrated with fun BBQ and bunch of random games. Im currently looking for a weekday job. I already have a weekend job (which is not that interesting but money is money). Other then that my summer has been very fun filled.

In news today we are hearing that Barack Obama will be the democratic representative for the presidential election. Now we all don’t have force other people to not vote for Hillary.

There is also another story flying around about how a bunch kids will not be able to graduate because they were wearing the rebel flag around school. I honestly think that is a very harsh punishment, I mean what happened to community service. Seriously everyone works their butt off about 13 years for this one night and then they take that away from them for 1 small little thing. I really have no problem with the Confederate flag. Its just a flag now it’s not like they are going to bring the whole thing back.

CARS

In car news two engineers built and design a car that can give 230 miles to the gallon. And that’s the hybrid version prototype. They have an all electric version also. When asked what sparked there mind to do such a thing. Their reply was they were bored and later admitted gas prices had played role in it also. Makes me really want to be bored more often.

In other car news one guy has sculpted and designed his car ,which started it’s life as a PT cruiser, into a car with a wierd looking alien which pops out at the front of the hood.

New and Imroved technology:

We have all seen the apple’s famous iphone… well now there is going to be a sequel to it. The iphone 2 has many new features including GPS navigation, a faster internet connection and many more usefull and distracting tools and gadgets.

Personal Life:

Im currently out of school for the summer. I’m obviously having a lot of fun because i don’t have to go to school and can hangout with my friends at late night. Also go to sleep very very late. Im a very big fan of youtube. Im usually on there atleast 1 hour everyday.
